  • Power Minister R K Singh, on 14th November 2017 launched a centralised  National Power Portal (NNP).

  • World Diabetes Day ,the world’s largest diabetes awareness campaign  is celebrated every year on 14 November. This year’s theme of World Diabetes Day  is Women and diabetes – our right to a healthy future.
  • Central Government launched phase 2 of Bharat Net project to connect 1.5 lakh gram panchayats with high-speed broadband.
  • Delhi Cabinet approved to set up Delhi Village Development Board (DVDB) for civic works in rural and urban villages of Delhi’s all 300 villages.
  • Forbes List of Asia’s Richest Families ranked Ambani family of India at top with a net worth of $44.8 billion.
  • The 10th South Asia Economic Summit (SAES) has begun in Kathmandu, Nepal with the theme “Deepening Economic Integration for Inclusive and Sustainable Development in South Asia”.
  • Project Saksham – Railway’s largest time-bound “upskilling” exercise for government employees to upgrade the skill sets of its 13 lakh strong workforce.
  • Union cabinet chaired by PM approved the appointment of 2nd national judicial pay commission for subordinate judiciary. Commission will decide on a salary hike for almost 21,000 judges of the subordinate judiciary level.
  • The Biaras Small Hydro Power Project of 1.5 MW capacity, in Biaras Drass, Kargil Jammu & Kashmir, was commissioned on 4th November 2017.
  • Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting was held on 10th and 11th November, 2017 in Da Nang, Vietnam with Theme ‘Creating New Dynamism, Fostering a Shared Future’.
